JUST RELAXING AT BAY BREEZE RV ON THE BAY
Start the day with a beautiful sunrise!
The dawn breaks!
The day brightens!
It's a cozy, shaded park- a place to relax and enjoy!
Picture yourself sitting on the deck in one of these rockers reading a good book or watching the sea gulls!
Cruising the country on a Hog. What a ride! A little hard to sleep in though?
Speaking of a ride, Jeffrey has ridden a gazillion miles on his bike since arriving, including 10.2 miles on the bike path not far from here.
Besides biking, there are a lot of fun things to do at Bay Breeze RV on the Bay.
Enjoy the water by just floating around with your best friend!
Take a stroll down the "natural beach to the right of the park. You can actually stand under this tree! Might find some driftwood too.
Discover new things! Don't worry, after show & tell, the seahorse went back into the water and swam away.
Play a game of horseshoes or the ladder game with your family or fellow campers. It's a fun way to get to know your neighbors.
Build a sand castle or a fort. Just let your imagination soar!
Emily & Luke made their 1st trip to the coast in April from Alburquerque.
Whether boating or just catching some rays, don't miss an opportunity to enjoy the beautiful, sunny day!
Jet skiing is fun too! Or was this tubing? Dutch and his "uncle" are enjoying it either way.
Kayaking is a perfect sport on the bay. One of our guess rowed out to meet the dolphins!
Tiffany & Tommy enjoy throwing the casting net. They catch live bait fish & shrimp & then use it to fish from the dock!
Here's Tommy with a fish he caught. The kids have contest to see who can catch the most & the biggest!
This Jack Cravelle was hooked off of the dock. It really gave a fight. This was about 20 minutes later.
What a beautiful fish! It was released back into the bay after pictures were taken. Maybe it's still there waiting on you!
The dock is good for more than fishing. Sit on the bench, it's shaded by the upper deck, and feel the breeze- shoot a little breeze too!
Set out your crab trap & look forward to the results!
This is what you could call the "final" result. These were cooked up by Bob "Maryland" style- special seasonings & steamed in beer. Yum! Let's Eat!
Speaking of eating, meet Joker, the Grilling & Smoking King! Everyone in the park got a taste! The usual fare is port, chicken & shrimp.
What's a surprise 50th birthday without great food, family & friends? I'm not sure how, but it was kept a secret until time for the party!
This was Bill's 80th birthday. Since then he has had a couple more. The Fullers have been RVing since 1971 & we have been blessed to have them here
Getting back to enjoying the park, just relax & see what sights are to behold. They may be different than what you might expect.
Speaking of a different sight! Now that's some houseboat!
Watch the shrimpers troll for their catch, or better het, get out there and do some trolling of your own!
Fishing! Fishing! Fishing! This redfish is the perfect size to eat. It could have been caught off our dock, but this one was nabbed surf fishing.
Mike Madish caught this flounder in December off the pier at Ft Morgan. You can also gig for these rascals in the waters in front of the park.
The Kichler
The Kichler's gigged this one in the bay just a little ways down shore from the park. Another nice one!
Sara & her sister-in-law Paulette wear the Redfish out! This one was caught @ Dixie Bar at the end of Ft Morgan, a total of 5 in 3 days of fishing.
Do you enjoy birds? A bird banding is held in the spring & the fall at Ft Morgan as the migratory birds are coming in and going out.
This Indigo Bunting is one of the migratory birds. This one was photographed in the park.
Butterflies also migrate through the park. They're beautiful and there are huge numbers during this time.
Maybe crazy as a loon is not so crazy! He's just drifting down the bay coast.
The pier & dock are enjoyed by all!
There are 3 pilings on each side of the dock to tie off your boat, but their main function is to serve as a perch!
Oops! I guess I'll give it us for the big guy!
We're just visiting, the place belongs to George. He has been here for years. Catch him early AM guarding the dock & wading along the shoreline.
George survey's his territory while looking for an unsuspecting fish for his next meal!
Looks like George has spied his dinner!
At the end of the day, relax on one of the decks or on the dock and watch the sunset. It's always different.
Make it a memory!
Beautiful!
Wow! The end to a perfect day!
Time to say Goodnight!
During the summer, pets are not allowed on the beach, pier or dock, but are welcome to walk the "natural" beach to the right of the park & enjoy the water there also.
It was a little chilly this day for the new bikini, but plenty of sunshine for wading into the waves and building sandcastles on the Gulf beach, just 5 minutes away.
Bring one with you or rent one at one of the local shops. They will deliver it to you & pick it up when you're finished.
The fried fish & hushpuppies comes later!
We love families. Come share yours with us.
most of that time. If you haven't guessed, we love them dearly and they are part of the extended family. Bill is THE FISHERMAN capital letters. Whiting, redfish, pompano, flounder- lookout! Bill prefers to surf fish into the Gulf, his favorite place about 7 minutes from here.
Barges move all kinds of things down the intracoastal waterway. You can watch the action from the park.
Michael is retired and stays here about 40% of the time. he fishes with THE FISHERMAN off Mobile & Veteran Streets just 5-7 minutes from us.
Did I mention that this one was 23"? Great for stuffing! The Madishes are also special people and part of our "extended family". They just don't show up often enough!
You're able to see the birds closeup and to take pictures. As a spectator, you can also volunteer to release the bird. Really neat!
